Windows Made For High Elevations To Keep
Your Colorado Front Range Home Cozy

We REFUSE To Use Low-Quality
Products That Don’t Last

When was the last time you invested in a home improvement project without considering the long-term value of the products? For most of us, that answer would be a resounding NEVER.

That’s why it’s so important to choose the right windows for your Southern Colorado home. If your replacement window contractor doesn’t offer options built specifically for our region, chances are your investment won’t last very long.

At Peakview Windows, Siding & Stucco, we’ve carefully selected all our products based on their ability to perform in the Colorado climate.

From our siding to our stucco to our windows and doors , you can trust that all our products are built to last and deliver exceptional results.

Windows, in particular, have special manufacturing requirements for many areas in our region. And as a local company with more than 30 years of experience serving the community, we can confidently provide solutions that meet all your needs.

How Elevation Affects Your Windows

Something interesting that many homeowners don’t know is that the elevation of your home will impact what windows you can have installed. In other words, not every window is suitable for every elevation.

Let’s consider some science for a minute… at lower elevations, the atmospheric pressure is much greater than at higher elevations.

When you move a window from a lower elevation to a higher one, the decrease in pressure allows the gas fill to expand. In turn, this can cause significant issues with the window, including:

  • Seal failure
  • Warped frames
  • Glass breakage

If your windows aren’t manufactured at a comparable elevation, their performance, durability, and longevity will all be compromised.

So, what do you do if you have your eye on a particular window made in the Midwest? The good news is that the industry came up with an outstanding solution.

A Window Manufacturing Solution

At Peakview Windows, Siding & Stucco , we couldn’t stand the idea of installing windows that would immediately fail. So, we did our research to find a reasonable solution.

For windows manufactured below our average elevation, we have the option to order the product with capillary tubes installed. These tubes are also known as breather tubes and are installed inside the insulated glass unit in place of the gas fill. However, it lowers the efficiency of the glass package.

Capillary tubes equalize the pressure within the space between the window panes. Once installed, the pressure cannot build up to excess, causing window failure.

They’re also an incredible feature to have during shipping, as the transition between elevations can cause damage while the windows are in transit.

Most windows we sell are sealed at a high elevation, eliminating the need for breather tubes in many areas around the Pike’s Peak Region altogether. This ensures you still get the high performance of Argon gas for optimal energy efficiency in your glass package.

When Window Manufacturers Disappoint

We pride ourselves on working with only the best window manufacturers, known for their quality products and outstanding customer service. Over the years, we’ve worked with many excellent companies, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t cut ties with others.

If any manufacturer we work with fails to deliver the level of service we demand for our homeowners, we simply won’t work with them again.

In most cases, this happens when a smaller company is bought out by a larger corporation. Often, this results in the corporation cutting corners to streamline processes.

Unfortunately, it’s homeowners like you who pay the price.

Additionally, if a manufacturer cannot provide prompt, effective service on their products, we won’t maintain our partnership. We strive to handle all minor services, but we often need them for parts. And if replacement parts take longer to come in than new windows, there’s a major problem.

Our team is dedicated to providing the most exceptional experience on your window installation, and that requires a committed manufacturer.

So, if you need replacement windows for your Colorado Front Range home, turn to the company that always chooses the most reliable products. Contact Peakview Windows, Siding & Stucco today for a consultation.

A blog consists of frequently, new posts or sometimes called articles, in reverse chronological order. So basically, the latest post appears first on a page. Plus, a blog allows for reader engagement. There’s usually a section at the bottom of the blog post for readers to comment and have further discussions with other readers. Here are some tips for you to help you maintain an interesting, relevant and reader-friendly blog that adds real value to your websites. 1. DESCRIBE THE BLOG RIGHT, RIGHT FROM THE START Think about what you’re going to blog about and write it down in a few short sentences. This description will help you stay aligned when you write posts and let your readers know what they to expect. 2. CREATE A SCHEDULE Schedules work. They keep you on track and focused. They give you structure and goals. If you’ve ever run a race, you know that having a training schedule (and sticking to it) is critical to success. So set a schedule that works for you (publish a new post once a week, twice a week, once every two weeks) and stick to it. 3. OPTIMIZE YOUR BLOG FOR SEO A huge incentive for adding a blog to your site is to have organic content that brings visitors to the site (without paying for them). When you add a blog to your site, you’re adding fresh content that can bring organic traffic, but only if search engines notice the content.
